EN-Standard UPP Pipe EN14125 Standard UPP Primary Pipe can be used in both suction and pressure applications and is ideal for use as product fill lines or vapour vent lines in forecourts, marinas and airports where EN14125-approved pipe is the desired specification. Available in diameters ranging from 50 mm to 110 mm, UPP Primary Pipe comes in both coils as well as straight lengths to accommodate any installation. For pressure systems or environmentally sensitive installations, UPP Primary Pipe combines with the UPP Secondary Pipe to form an enhanced level of protection as UPP Coaxial (Secondary) Piping. The HDPE (high-density polyethylene) outer layer construction of all UPP Pipe allows all connections to be joined using the electrofusion welding process; providing a solid, single continuous system of pipework. New EVOH Layer Its strength advantages are as CLEAR as the natural EVOH resin inner liner found in Franklin Fueling System's new UPP EN14125 Standard Pipe. This latest revolution in fuel piping features an innovative clear inner lining made of natural EVOH resin; a feature which allows UPP EN14125 Standard Pipe to achieve an exceptional Class T1 temperature rating. Class T1 strength to you means reliability and performance as UPP EN14125 Standard Pipe is rated for use in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 50°C. The latest in coextrusion technology allows us to permanently bond the clear un-pigmented, natural EVOH resin fuel contact layer seamlessly with a rugged PE100 high-density polyethylene outer structural layer, providing you with a new level of protection, performance and dependability. UPP Underground Fuel Pipe Product Summary: Due to its impressive T1 rating, the EN-Standard UPP Pipe maintains a very high level of safety with operational temperature range of -40°C to 50°C, almost zero permeation and a burst pressure capability in excess of 40 bar. Uses a highly efficient electrofusion welding system which connects the pipe and fittings to create a seamless direct burial pipework system. This eliminates any leak paths from underground tank to the dispenser connection, ensuring full protection from the ingress of ground water and eliminates the chance of a spill into the environment. Compatible with a wide range of fuels, alcohol mixtures andadditives ensuring suitability for allfuel groups encountered aroundthe world. Tested and approvedfor use with hydrocarbons, alcohol fuel blends and biofuels at pressures up to 10 bar. No requirement for a concrete trench because HDPE is structurally resistant to weight of backfill material and dynamic traffic loads. 30 years of experience shows no material failures and no loss into the ground. Extensive studies simulating fuel flow situations have demonstrated that, with a wide margin of safety, non-conductive pipe cannot be a source of spark ignition and is therefore a safe choice concerning the risks of electrostatic discharge. UPP Entry Seals & Fittings The nature of the seals means that after installation it becomes one with the sump, with zero leak paths, creating a 100% leak tight system. The seals are polyethylene based allowing electrofusion of UPP pipework systems directly to the penetration, negating the need for mechanical boots and creating a homogeneous structure of the sump, boot and pipe. TANK AND DISPENSER SUMPS Tank Chambers and Dispenser Sumps When it comes to keeping product out of the environment and water out of the containment system, tank chambers can often be a fuel system's weak link; bolted risers, bolted entry boots and ill-fitting lids create multiple potential leak points. Our dispenser sumps, with patented welded entry boot and double wall piping systems give you what you need - years of worry free, maintenance free performance. OVERFILL PREVENTION EQUIPMENT EBW SHUT OFF VALVES Shut-Off Valves EBW emergency shut-off valves immediately stop product flow in the event of fire or collision at the dispenser. A patented adapter shears clean upon impact, causing the poppet to seal on the valve body preventing fuel spillage. When fire occurs, a fusible link releases the fulcrum arm, engaging the poppet. Standard 1-1/2” openings allow minimal flow restriction and a pre-drilled test plug is included for line pressure testing. The valve can be boss or U-bolt mounted. Easy-to-replace adapters slide on and off valve base without lifting the dispenser. Adapters are available in male, female or union connections. Single poppet models stop product flow from the pump. Double poppet models stop flow from the pump and dispenser piping. Overfill Prevention Valve The Autolimiter® overfill prevention valve is a self contained two-stage positive shut-off valve designed to prevent the overfill of an underground storage tank (UST) during a gravity fed product delivery. When the liquid level of the UST reaches about 92% of the tank capacity during a fill, the product in the tank raises the lower float of the valve. The primary poppet of the valve is then released and reduces flow to about 10% of normal flow. The sudden reduction in flow created by the closing of the primary poppet provides “line shock” to the fill hose notifying the transport delivery driver the tank is nearing 95% capacity. The transport delivery driver can then stop filling the tank, disconnect and drain the delivery hose. The upper float will close off the product flow when the product level reaches 95% of the tank capacity Spill Containers EBW’s Grade Level Spill Containers are designed to collect spilled product that occurs during normal tank filling on underground storage tanks. Threaded base models are available in cast iron or composite. Slip-On (Retrofit) models use a gasket flanged bolt system to secure the spill bucket to the riser pipe and are designed to eliminate the need to remove the riser pipe from the underground tank when installing. VAPOR RECOVERY SYSTEMS Vapor Recovery Systems help insure the cleanliness of the air in the forecourt area by separating gasoline vapor into fuel and air. This allows clean air to be released into the atmosphere while useable fuel is returned to the storage tank. Vapor recovery technology separate gasoline vapor into fuel and air. Clean air is released into the atmosphere, while your valuable fuel is kept where it belongs… in your storage tank. (stage 1) Vapor Recovery System is designed for gasoline-dispensing stations to provide gasoline vapor collection and removal from the dispensing (forecourt) area. Collected vapor is returned to the gasoline storage tank ullage space through a dedicated vapor pipe and vent network. ( Stage 2) Vapor Swivel Adaptor: Stage I Vapor Recovery Adaptors are installed in spill containment manholes on the vapor recovery riser pipe from an underground gasoline storage tank. They mate with the vapor recovery elbow on the delivery transport truck when recovery of gasoline vapors is required. Vapor Recovery Adaptor: This poppeted adaptor, designed to mate with a vapor recovery elbow, for returning gasoline vapor to the tank truck during a fuel delivery to an underground tank. The 1611 Series is rated at 10 psi maximum working pressure. Vapor Recovery Cap: It is installed on the vapor recovery adaptor, when not in use, to prevent vapors from escaping and to prevent water, dust and debris from entering the tank. Constructed of Duratuff® to help prevent corrosion, 4" Kamloks, and features a center post that allows an even distribution of force when coupling to the adaptor. it can be locked with a padlock. Low Profile Vapor Cap: Low profile top seal vapor cap is designed for tight installations where the clearance between the top of the vapor adaptor and the underside of the spill container or manhole cover is limited. The rugged iron lever provides a positive cam-action that seats the cap firmly in the adaptor groove for a water and vapor tight seal.
